LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Data Services is looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Analysts for one of our flagship digital brands (ICIS), based in our Sutton office. The team supports a data rich, highly interactive commercial web based product to customers of one of our most innovative businesses.
As a member of the team, you will be providing support and maintenance on multiple ICIS back-office and front-end applications, infrastructure and services. You will get opportunities, where appropriate, to actively promote the design phase and implementation of new solutions; enhance existing systems and on-board support of new applications. You may be required to undertake assignments not directly covered by this role profile as the needs of the business demand, as part of your personal development plan or to enhance the departmental capability. Working closely with our SRE teams will give you the opportunity to enhance your skills still further.
Provide support as part of an on-call rota out of UK business hours
Manage/Facilitate incidents and outages for production systems
Investigate and help identify root cause for production issues
Help define health check for applications and assist in the set up of monitoring and alerting
Troubleshoot data discrepancies
Support data bridges and web based applications
Troubleshoot and support releases to legacy systems
Basic Active Directory administration for local network
Support Developers to enable them have the access they require
Automate and improve processes wherever possible both for the team and for others
Actively participate in requirement gathering meetings and sprint showcases by development teams
Document all new knowledge and ensure that it is accessible by the wider team
Identification and prioritisation of future areas/opportunities for operational improvement through analysing business processes within Operations
Key Skills required:
Strong Windows and Linux systems administration experience desirable
Virtualisation including VMWare – VSphere/ESX
Amazon Web Services (AWS) – EC2, S3, Cloudwatch, Lambda
Experience with REST API
Working knowledge with XML data using XQuery
Experience with relational/NoSQL databases
Scripting – Powershell/Python
Experience working with any monitoring systems – Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
Basic networking skills – TCP/IP, Firewall, Load Balancer, Proxy
Version control system – Git, Bitbucket
Atlassian suite administration
Must have at least 6 of the key skills listed above
Willing to work evenings and weekends as part of an on-call rota.
Strong client focus and genuine desire to assist
Experience working with tight deadlines
Experience working closely with key business stakeholders and development teams
Should be technically minded, quick learner and adaptable
Strong communication and documentation skills
