Desccription: Project Manager Team Lead

We are recruiting for a Project Manager Team Leader to join the PIB group at a really exciting time as the business continues to grow.

You will be reporting to the Head of Business Change Delivery overseeing the day to day operations of the Project Management team. Responsible for developing and enhancing the Project Management capability providing line management support including mentoring and guidance to c5 Project Managers.

Will be required to provide disciplined delivery of business change projects, including technology change as necessary and to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget and in accordance to the Business Case.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, support, and develop a team of Project Managers.
Enhance Project Manager capability developing best practices and improved ways of working.
Mentor, coaching and supporting both members of the team and wider business stakeholders.
Work with the PMO to develop and improve project controls and standards.
Create or ensure there is a valid Business Case in order for projects to proceed.
Prepare and maintain RAID Logs and set up remainder of the project office.
Maintain project plan, capturing actual costs and re-plan as necessary.
Initiate corrective action where necessary to ensure project remains on schedule and within budget.
Manage and liaise with any outsource suppliers or account managers.
Prepare implementation plans and manage implementation and post implementation support.
Prepare the Post Implementation Review.
Obtain formal agreement to close project, including lessons learnt, follow on actions and recommendations.
Manage any follow-on actions as appropriate.
Ensure project deliverables meet the business requirements.
Change Control and Configuration Management procedures adhered to escalating as appropriate.


You will need to have Strong Project management disciplines (e.g. Prince2, APM, Agile).
You will need to have experience in developing and mentoring high performing teams, experience of managing projects in a financial service or regulated environment and proven experience in people and change management
You will need knowledge in competencies in and around delivery of projects related to online transactional, client portal/extranet, general publish/brochureware, CMS etc.
You will need to have strong leadership aspects, budget and organisational skills, expert knowledge of Excel, Word PowerPoint, MSP and other project planning tools, the ability to take responsibility for own activities, be able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively as part of a team
