IT Service Desk Engineer (Manchester MSP)

Description: Want to help manage the IT of SME and Corporate clients across the North of England, working with market leading cloud and on-premise technologies?

A typical day working within my clients’ MSP;
8am, login to Autotask, review your tickets and calendar for the day, and start working on assigned tickets

11am, meeting with Mike (Service Deliver Manager) to review last month Training and Development Plan goals and achievements (booking MS-100 exam next month)

12pm, lunch and relax with colleagues in team area within recently refurbished offices

1.30pm, meeting with Andy (Customer Manager) to discuss Office 365 migration project scheduled for next week

2.30pm, customer site visit to provision new laptop, dock and multiple screens for MD of local financial services business

4.00pm, time entry in closed ticket in Autotask, and homeward bound

The successful candidate should have worked previously within a technical role for an IT support business, value added reseller or managed services provider, and aspiring to develop their career and skills by expanding their work experience to the next level.
Suitable candidates will already have MSP service desk experience along with MAC-level project exposure, both remotely and onsite visits and now seeking to develop their technical experience further.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have shown dedication to their professional development by achieving industry recognised qualifications such as CompTIA accreditations or Microsoft MCP / MCSE and have direct experience of working with common MSP tools and technologies, such as Autotask, Datto, ConnectWise, Kaseya, Zendesk, VMware, AWS, Azure and Office 365.

The successful candidate will be working with and therefore requires management experience of;

Active Directory, PowerShell Windows Server & Hyper-V
Azure AD
Office 365 & Exchange Server
Market leading Firewalls and Switches
Market leading Backup and recovery solutions
Microsoft Intune and AutoPilot

Benefits in addition to salary include supported training and development plans, assistance/health plan, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Although based at my clients’ offices near to Cheadle, candidates should have access to their own car and license for occasional customer site visits. Currently my client is operating a rotation of staff between working from home and office to promote physical distancing in response to the pandemic, however the role is office based in non-pandemic conditions.

Finally, as the core link between my client and their customers, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills

Salary Type: Annum

Salary: £28000 – £30000/annum
