Hours:  35 hours per week Monday to Friday

As the Head of Delivery within the Digital Change & IT function you will contribute to our vision of being the UKs favourite property manager by:

Being accountable for ensuring successful on time and on budget delivery of projects across the FirstPort Group, as well as owning and iterating our Delivery Framework.
Acting as first point of escalation for any project-related issues
Recruiting, managing and mentoring the Project Management team
Further maturing and developing the project governance framework and embedding best practice for project management across the FirstPort Group
In addition to management and oversight responsibilities, take on the Project Manager role for some critical projects

This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer and has between 2 and 4 direct Project Manager reports.

About You

You have 10 years experience in Project/Programme/Portfolio Management and extensive experience in managing broad scale projects across various disciplines.  
You have the skills and experience to manage stakeholders, internally and externally up to and including Exec level. 
You have a keen attention to detail and can demonstrate where you have used data and insight to inform decision making 
You will have a Higher Degree, MBA, or similar business qualification and Certification/Professional qualifications in this area
Experience of the Property Management (or related) industry preferred but not essential

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the proposed change investment continues to support specific business objectives, aligned to the FirstPort strategy and integrated into the annual budget and where applicable longer term planning cycle, together with identify any strategic dependencies for resolution.
Establish and run effective programme/portfolio governance, agree scope and approach of the programme/portfolio, drive decision making, identifying and removing obstacles to progress, resolving any conflicting stakeholder issues, supported by comprehensive reporting.
Overseeing resource allocation, and highlighting resource challenges / identifying solutions
Monitoring progress and preparing / delivering regular reports to the Senior Executive Team
Management and Development of a multi-disciplinary projects team including Project Managers, Business Analysts, and PMO analysts
Budget Management and tracking
Maintain and improve upon project management frameworks and standards to support consistency where appropriate, and drive improvements in our project management capability across the business.
Manage and improve upon reporting frameworks that tracks performance (Financial and KPI) against strategic priorities (programmes) and the key projects that underpin them to enable early identification and management of any risks.
Provide an internal consultancy service to functional leaders to support them with the development and presentation of project business cases and implementation plans.
Play an active role in the development of capacity planning and resource tracking for the business to support that appropriate management and prioritisation of change projects and ensure cross-project dependencies are managed.
Be “hands-on” managing some projects, expect “Head Of” activities to occupy circa 60% of the roles bandwidth
Inspire, motivate and manage your direct reports and team of project managers to deliver their best work through effective communication, leadership, performance management and other engagement activities.
Develop your team members to support their professional and personal development journey and help them to become the best they can be.
