The suggestion to take ISTQB Foundation Level exam is that you may have at least 6 months of practical experience in testing role. Professionals such as test designers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and any other IT Professionals.
Other roles related to software testing such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants find useful having a basic understand of the foundation level qualification as well.
