A while ago I have populated a list of defect tracking tools, but not exclusively free defect tracking tools, the other is rather big with a mix of paid and free defect tools.
To keep it simple and for most novice and small teams who is looking for free tools, I have create a list with the best free defect tool out there on Internet.
Take a look and see what you think. Take them for a spin and see if can be useful for your particular process. As part of test strategy and plan, finding the right tool for the project you are involved is a challenge, you need to test and trial as much as you can until you find the right one for the job.
Let me know if you know any other free tools and I’ll add them here in future revisions.
